Father Joe's Villages Thanksgiving Day 5K

Get energized before your feast at the 17th Annual Father Joe's Villages Thanksgiving Day 5K. Registration will open at 6:30 am and the race will begin at 7:30 am. Held in Balboa Park, participants can enjoy the company of more than 7500 racers and spectators while helping raise critical funds for the meal program which provides more than 1 million meals each year to those in need.

Known as the "the crown jewel of jazz festivals," the Dixieland Jazz Festival is held at the Town and Country Resort Hotel. The event offers a wide variety of experiences from large concert rooms with double dance floors to small, intimate "listening" rooms. The Festival bands represent a wide variety of traditional jazz, dixieland, ragtime, swing, and rockabilly styles.
Surfin' Santa Arrival

Kids and adults will enjoy watching Santa arrive in Southern California style via watercraft and dressed in board shorts and a Hawaiian shirt. After his arrival at 1 p.m., check out the festivities where you can get free photos on Santa’s giant surfboard and six-foot wave until 5 p.m. Cheer on Santa as he cruises down the boardwalk for a parade featuring live music, stilt walkers and holiday cheer.
